(More customer reviews)Perfect size and nice styling made this a super addition to our compact kitchen. But within a few weeks the cheap flimsy plastic latch broke. The spring loaded hook snapped off and now it is always open because the spring action keeps it that way. We're not really sure what to do with it but at $50 we certainly expected more. Very disappointed. How complex can it be to design a bread bin that is robust and made to last?

Suffice it to say that this item is svelte and stylish and absolutely defies logic: it looks small on the counter but holds a massive amount of bakery delights. I disdained owning a breadbox, preferring instead to use a simple wire basket, until I stumbled on this item. It is the breadbox that I never thought I'd find. Perfect.
