Dune Lines color and texture is inspired by the desert where the wind draws unique formations in the fine sand.Thus it is with the wavy relief drawn through the surface of each flat plate. It is the feminine counterpart to the New Wave collection: the shape and design are structured in an organic flowing manner.There are two different variations in the pattern: plates that are round without any recognizable transition between the center and the rim and the modified oval plate with sensuously sweeping edges.This wavy relief, uniquely placed in the center of each flat piece, completes the unusual styling .As with all Villeroy & Boch dinnerware, it is dishwasher and microwave safe.

(More customer reviews)I have Mikasa Italian Countryside dishes and wanted a more mixed look for casual dining, that picked up colors from my decor and decided to use the b&b plates as color accents. I knew that Twist Alea Limone b&b plates would be perfect the minute I saw them. Unpacked, the colors are vibrant and glowing, but the geometric design keeps them from being overwhelming. I'm partial to plates with white centers- these look lovely with the Mikasa set. Delivery was incredibly fast, the plates were carefully packed and arrived without a single chip or smudge. The quality is superb. And Amazon offered the best price anywhere!
