You will LOVE how it zips right thru all kinds of breads, buns, and bagels! Designed to last a lifetime and it probably will. But, if not, you are still getting a real BARGAIN! Do someone a favor, and buy them one, too! (We bought four extra ones and tucked them away for stuffing some special Christmas stockings!) Hand wash recommended. The first thing I sliced with this knife was a lemon and it was so accurate and effortless I loved it. The handle is very easy to grasp and non-slip. I liked the small chef's knife so much that I ordered the other three types (regular, large chef's knife, bread and paring knife. I am so pleased to see more products for people with disabilities. Even if you are able-bodied you will love these knives.
