The size of the board was no surprise to me, as I looked at its image compared to the image of the knife. The knife is just fine for bread, which is what it's sold for. If you're looking for a carving knife, make another selection. Need a paring knife? Not this one. Bread knife? Yep, this is it. I also use it for tomatoes and cake. The only knife I own that I run through the dishwasher.

(More customer reviews)This knife is Excellent. Came out of the Box sharp as a razor. The rubberized handle is great and easy to grip. I looked at several knives including Global, Wustof, and Henckels and I would say these are at least on par with those. Don't let the price fool you these are High Carbon and Stainless Steel Underneath the bonded Titanium coating. The weight is great and I really enjoy the individual wood blocks. Highly Recommend
