(More customer reviews)The picture looked exactly like proof bowls I had purchased before, however this product was a much thinner plastic and has HOLES in it. It does not work well with my sourdough bread dough. Buying a look-a-like didn't work for me.

(More customer reviews)I chose this type of proofing basket over the bamboo type that can only be wiped off with a damp cloth. I was concerned about the potential of dough traces drawing unwanted critters.
This proofing basket along with the Rectangular Proofing Basket 5-1/8" x 13-3/4" Orange Polypropylene are really good for leaving a nifty pattern on your dough and giving your bread a uniform shape. I do wish that BakeDeco would offer the 1.1 rectangular at Amazon. I had to order it from their website.
Besides creating a beautiful loaf it prevents the dough from spreading during proofing which creates a higher rounder load. Spreading during proofing is a problem for the wetter no-knead bread doughs. The design pattern is not just for looks-it creates more surface area for a crust to form.
Just flour the bread form and place the dough in the form for proofing then invert onto a floured peel, slash the top of the dough then slide into the oven onto your baking stone.
I also like to use these for serving sliced breads, chips, cookies ,crackers, etc. when having family /friends for get-togethers. They work well for my casual dining style and look attractive.
They wash and store easily. Another big plus.

(More customer reviews)I love bagels and primarily use a toaster for that one purpose (with some toast thrown in from time to time). This toaster is exactly what I needed as it actually caters to bagels without substituting quality in other applications. Functionally it's pretty flawless. I can get my bagels toasted evenly and at the correct brownness with little effort. It's a nice looking modern toaster, and while it might not have every whiz-bang feature that more expensive models offer, it does what it does humbly and with excellence.
The toaster slot size is 5.375 inches long by 1.5 inches wide.
PROS:
1) Dual trays for bagels or toast with self-adjusting guides for thinner items like sliced bread
2) Cancel button that makes it easy to eject something mid-way through. This is especially handy as you're getting to know the toaster and how to get your desired level of toasting.
3) A bagel button for toasting just the inside of the bagel. There are even markings on the toaster to show you how to insert the bagel.
4) A frozen item button for getting your hot-pockets perfectly cooked.
5) Simple, but pleasing design.
6) Very nice unit for the price.
Cons:
1) Not as many features as some other models.
Summary:
This is a very nice toaster for the price range. It does a few things really well. It might not have everything you could possibly want in a toaster, but for getting a bagel perfectly cooked it's great.
