Hamilton Beach 64695N Power Deluxe 6-Speed Hand/St Review

I have had this set for over a year now and couldn't be more unhappy with it. The mixer does not reach the bottom of the glass bowl so regardless you still have to mix by hand to get all the flour and other ingredients off the bottom of the bowl. The mixer gets bogged down easily and between speeds of 3 and 4 it just stops. There's apparently a short between those speeds but if you giggle the switch it will work again.
The bowl is extremely heavy glass so once you've mixed your ingredients it's very difficult to man-handle the bowl to tilt it to get the ingredients poured in your pans. The beaters come out while mixing. I've pushed and pushed them in but once you lift the head the beaters often stay in the bowl. Not every time but enough that it's aggravating to have to dig your beaters out of wet cake mix.
I don't have a recommendation for something better. I'll keep using this one because I just can't afford another one. But I do recommend you pass on this one and find better luck with another brand.

Sunbeam 2350 Heritage Stand Mixer White Review

When my old Sunbeam mixer died, I decided to purchase this model. I am very glad I did. If this one lasts as long as my old mixer, we will retire together!
The Heritage model is quiet and powerful. At first I thought the mixer was slow, but not so. It just quietly beats, whips, and kneads along. I was pleasantly surprised when the dough hooks would really knead bread dough. My hands appreciate that, and I even make homemade bread more often.
The beater release button and mixer button to raise mixer were stiff at first. However, they have loosened up with use and that is no longer a problem. Due to the height (nearly 16"), I cannot put the mixer in my kitchen cabinets. I have to let it set on the counter top. This might be a problem for some folks. Basically, what it does for me is make me keep it cleaner!
The mixer is quite heavy, but I consider that a plus, as it shouldn't tip over. When the mixer is raised, it will not come down without depressing the button, so there is no danger of it falling when you don't want it to. All in all, I am well pleased with the mixer.

Sunbeam 2371 Mixmaster Stand Mixer, White Review

I refused to pay $300.00 for a standmixer, and am glad to have found this one ! The glass bowls are very roomy and the height of the mixer allows ample room to work. The assortment of beaters should allow everyone to mix away ! The 350 watts of power helped blend a peanut butter cookie which can become thick. I found clean up quite easy with the glass bowls and the shape of the beaters, not alot of crevices for sticking.
The only negative is I was expecting a metal cast mixer. This one has alot of plastic/pvc to it. This makes me nervous as far as durability over years of use, as mentioned in the other reviews I was looking for one just like my Mom had. So far it has performed as I expected.

Cuisinart HSM-70 Power Advantage 7-Speed Handheld/Stand Mixer Review

I recently purchased this mixer because I was questioning whether or not to purchase the much-celebrated Kitchen-Aid Artisan Mixer. My reasoning: "for far less money, I'll purchase this mixer and see how often I really use it, and if it warrants a larger purchase in a year or two."
I opened the box and promptly made a batch of cookies which turned out delicious! Two weeks later I made cupcakes and the batter was COMPLETELY smooth, no lumps and NO handmixing. I really enjoy that the bowl spins while mixing, the power is substantial, and it is not a large appliance and can be left out on the counter if desired.
I haven't used the dough hooks yet, but plan to make pizza with it soon, perhaps I'll add to this review at that time.
For now, I am completely satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to occasional bakers who don't want to shell out three times as much $$ for something they will only use a few times a year.

Equipped with 220 watts of power, this convenient appliance functions as both a handheld mixer and a stand mixer for exceptional versatility in the kitchen. Use the seven-speed hand mixer on its own or mount it to the sturdy mixing stand for hands-free mixing. The unit's stainless-steel bowl holds up to 3-1/2 quarts and spins on a turntable to ensure all ingredients get thoroughly mixed together. Accessories include flat mixing beaters, dough hooks, and a professional chef's whisk. The flat mixing beaters (extra-long, extra-wide) deliver fast aerating, mixing, and whipping and are designed without a center post to prevent ingredients from clogging up the beaters; the durable dough hooks can handle a variety of doughs; and the professional 1-3/4-inch-diameter whisk effectively whips and aerates--effortlessly add volume to whipped cream or create stiff, fine-textured egg whites. Other highlights include a one-step power switch with a seven-speed LED display, a SmoothStart function to prevent ingredients from splattering, a tilt-back head and easy-release hand-mixer button, and dishwasher-safe parts for quick cleanup. An instruction book with recipes comes included. With its sleek-looking design, complete with a chrome-plated Cuisinart logo band, the mixer measures approximately 17-4/5 by 11-4/5 by 10-1/5 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty.
