Tupperware 4-Quart Thatsa Bowl Review

I got one of these in 1992 while living in Australia and it's utility really surprised me. Tossing salads for parties is a breeze in it. I only brought a few things back to the states with us and Big Bowl was one of the essentials. We used it for so many picnics and potlucks it became a joke with family: "Just bring it in 'Big Bowl', my sister would say" Sadly, I melted mine on the hot burner of a stove (an accident!) and miss it dreadfully. I look forward to when it's available again!

Tupperware Thatsa Bowl 32 Cup Mixing Bowl Review

I saw the picture of the 32 cup bowl and wanted to get it as I DO use the larger bowls for baking needs. BUT the picture shows the bowl with lid and measuring cups on it. The description ofcourse does not list anything about the measuring cups, but with them in the picture, I thought that they were a "perk" when buying this bowl. I have purchased products in the past where you did receive added bonuses with your purchase. This is NOT the case here. If you buy this bowl, DO NOT LOOK for the items shown in the picture other than the bowl and lid itself. Why the measuring cups are in the picture is beyond me. The product itself is wonderful and I LOVE it. I own both the 42 and 32 cup bowls and use them for baking projects of specialty breads and large receipes. They are durable and not short on stability when mixing. Good thick and sturdy bowls. You will NOT be disappointed when purchasing this item. Will last you for many decades. No kidding! The last bowl of this size that was purchased in my family was back in the 60's when my mother bought her large yellow bowl from Tupperware. That bowl was lost with all our moving around over the past ten years. I finally broke down and bought this cause I missed not having it to use when baking. Now I will have this to pass on to my girls. That is how long they last!!

Tupperware Modular Mates Rectangular 2 Container in Red Passion Review

Tupperware Modular Mates Rectangular 2 Container in Red Passion

I recently replaced my decorative-but-inefficient canisters with a set of Tupperware Modular Mates, and I couldn't be happier. They are a nice weight/thickness, and the lids seal easily. I wanted containers big enough to store an entire package (ie. a 5lb bag of sugar, etc), with enough space for a bit extra (so I didn't have to run out completely before restocking, and to allow some room to level a measure over the container). Initially I was going with all rectangles, but found myself wanting a square for brown sugar as the Rectangle 2 just seemed too huge (while the Rectangle 1 just seemed too shallow).
In case the amounts might help someone else make a decision, I currently have:
5lbs+ (probably 7-8lbs?) of all-purpose flour in a Rectangle 3
5lbs of bread flour in a Rectangle 2
5lbs+ (6-7lbs?) of sugar in a Rectangle 2
1lb+ (1.5lbs?) of brown sugar in a Square 2

Idea Village Always Fresh Food Containers - Green Review

The other reviewer must own the company that is selling these bunk containers which keep food less fresh than the plastic bags the grocer provides. REally...not only do they not work they do not wash well in the dishwasher, become totally mishapen and are difficult to seal. I have been using the glad and zip lock containers and they also keep food fresher than these do. These containers are difficult to store, have lids that warp and the food I eagerly stored in them rotted so fast I was angry that I bought them. Not only that I purchased these on the always fresh official site. The picture shows 10 containers with lids and promises that you will get 2 sets if ordered that day...which i did. My invoice stated 20 pieces and after 4 weeks and $9 in shipping fees I received 5 bunk containers. These people should be sued. This is the first time I have bought anything from those ads on TV..and I know now why all the ads feature a $19.95 product with excessive shipping and handling fees. This is borderline criminal marketing designed to rip off the consumer for an amount too little to fight over and too expensive or difficult to return the merchandise for a refund thus leaving the consumer to just 'eat' the crappy merchandise. I think more consumers need to raise the dickens for these types of products. Especially this one which is THE WORST.
