The Gourmet 8-inch bread knife cuts bread with ease. The razor sharp teeth cut both soft and crusty loaves. Typical stamped knives are punched out like a cookie cutter. Wusthof Gourmet knives are laser cut. This intricate manufacturing process is superior to other -inch cookie cutter-inch methods as it is more precise and leaves the knives with less distortion. The Gourmet knives use the same steel that is used in our other more expensive knives. Wusthof uses a special blend of German steel through out the whole length of the knife. I knew that Twist Alea Limone b&b plates would be perfect the minute I saw them. Unpacked, the colors are vibrant and glowing, but the geometric design keeps them from being overwhelming. I'm partial to plates with white centers- these look lovely with the Mikasa set. Delivery was incredibly fast, the plates were carefully packed and arrived without a single chip or smudge. The quality is superb. And Amazon offered the best price anywhere!
