I keep most of them in a plastic storage box in my pantry because I try to keep my kitchen drawers from getting too cluttered. However, I do keep some of my sets of Ateco boxed cutters in a drawer because their storage cans are small and compact, and I use them a lot. Ateco is a quality manufacturer of baking accessories. I own several of their products: a revolving round metal cake stand; a large pastry decorating set, including icing bags and tips; and baking spatulas.
The Ateco line of boxed cutter sets includes cookie cutters with holiday and seasonal designs; a bridge set; sets with hearts, stars, animals, toy shapes, alphabet letters, gingerbread families; mini cookie cutters; dog bone biscuit cutters; pie cutters; aspic or jelly cutters; and biscuit/pastry cutters - some come in boxes, and others come in storage cans, like this one. This set has 11 plain round stainless steel cutters in graduated shapes, from 3/4 inch to 3 5/8 inches. They nest perfectly in their storage can, which has a tight lid so the cutters don't spill out into the drawer.
I only use a few of these round cutters on a regular basis though. I find that most of the cutters are too small for anything other than specialty baking. Although Ateco says that their cutters are dishwasher-safe, I hand wash mine because I've found that the dishwasher doesn't always get them clean.

Fred ABC Cookie Cutter Review

(More customer reviews)Apart from being funny, these are really nice quality cookie cutters. They're cast aluminum, instead of being a strip of metal that's bent into the shape. This means they'll resist getting bent out of shape better than the usual standbys. There is no spot where a metal strip had to be joined so you can get a nice, smooth cut all the way around. The edges are smooth and the same on the top and bottom so the cutters can be flipped over and will cut just as well on either side. This is good because it lets you turn the cutter whichever way is best to fit the shapes together while cutting the dough- less time and effort re-rolling the scrap dough. They're safe for kids as they are not sharp.

Fred & Friends Cakewich Cake Mold Review

(More customer reviews)I seen this pan featured in a magazine and I _had_ to get it. It appealed to the cake maker in me and I thought it would be really cool. I was concerned about how the pan would release as I have used silicone pans in the past that were a major pain to get off the cake.
I didn't need to worry. Fred and Friends always makes quality products and this one is no exception. The white pound cake recipe given to create the peanut butter and jelly cake is great. The peanut butter filling is terrific. I used damson plum jelly because I wanted some tartness to go with the sweetness of the cake and peanut butter.
The pan released the cake like a dream. No trying to peel the silicon off the cake while tearing up the cake. No trying to shake it loose or gently prying the cake from the pan.
I frosted this cake with the peanut butter frosting and took it to work. Ar first, people did think it was a giant peanut butter and jelly sandwich and were curious as to why I brought it in. Once they realized it was cake, it was gone in a flash. And you don't have to make it peanut butter and jelly - there are some tips on the box about making a different flavor cake with this pan.
I recommend this pan highly to anyone who wants to make a different kind of cake for a birthday or some other occasion. You will really enjoy using this pan and the people who are lucky enough to get this cake will love it.
