(More customer reviews)I bought five kinds of sprouting seeds at the same time. Had great success with Kamut, Buckwheat, Amaranth and Quinoa, but ZERO sprouts from these sesame seeds. They tasted fine as just seeds, however.

Sesame seeds are oil rich seeds that are high in Vitamin E, and essential Omega oils. They are also rich in manganese, copper and calcium. They are excellent as cooking ingredients including asian cuisine, breads and making hummus.
Sesame seeds are delicious when sprouted, but can become bitter if allowed to grow more than a few days. Experiment to find your preference, but many folks only sprout them for about a day or so.
To sprout soak for about 4 hours and then transfer into your sprouter. Rinse two or three times a day.

(More customer reviews)These are nice and work as intended. But the holes in the lid top are large enough for a fruit fly (and 100 of his friends) to squeeze through. Maybe you don't have fruit flies in your house. Maybe you do, like me. Personally I have not been freaked out too much by this, but I did cut some squares of cheese cloth to put under the lids. So I'm back to cheese cloth. So what did I buy these for? Well, I didn't know about the fruit fly issue. Nobody told me. So now you know.
