(More customer reviews)The shade of red and handle finish of this knife set are somewhat dull and lifeless. The handles are blockish and the knives are generally lacking in ergononic feel. The maker really should sharpen the color and enhance the shape and finish of the handles. If they were to do so, I would consider buying another set.
The serrated edges are very pronounced and thus the knives cut moreso by ripping and tearing much more than the typical serrated edge. They're OK for limited usage but probably will not be the workhorse knives of many kitchens.
Having said the above, the set is inexpensive and, at a distance, looks nice as an ornamental touch in the kitchen. I commend Stanley Roberts for being willing to offer something other than black or stainless steel colored handles; two finishes that are really overdone in kitchen knives, in my opinion.
