(More customer reviews)If it was just the picture on the website, I might think it was just my computer screen. However, the box also shows a very bright blue mug and the colors in the plate too. When the box is opened, I found a lighter blue...not primary bright blue, more like a Williamsburg Blue. It is still pretty but not what I really wanted. The other colors are the same way...pictured as very bright but muted out of the box.
Another deceptive thing to note on the picture. It appears that the smaller plate is almost as big as the dinner plate. It is described as a salad plate...it is a bread and butter sized plate. I am not impressed with that. That being said the detailed description does state the correct dimensions of that plate. In a typical family-style dinner I really have no use for it. I would like a larger salad plate that is just the right size for the kids.
As others posted, I too wish the Memphis pattern would also be on the other complementary tableware. Lighter color issues aside I do like the pattern. I would only suggest that when one makes a purchase you realize the picture is only slightly deceptive.
I do like the Corelle name of products. With my kids learning how to set a table, I need something a little more durable. This will do nicely until they are old enough to be able to deal with china.
