Our family doesn't use many mugs- and I was thrilled to find the sets with matching drinking glasses instead. They set an absolutely beautiful table.
If you enjoy a simple country design, you'll love these dishes.
Corelle is durable and stays lovely for years-- My mother still has the set (trimmed with yellow butterflies) I grew up with years ago! Just be careful not to drop a plate or bowl- they can really shatter!!
I love my set, and would absolutely order these again.

(More customer reviews)Here is the product that started it all. Created originally as an alternative to Melmac, way back in the Nixon administration, it has captured the imagination of America, especially when it was found that one could microwave food on it.
Its siblings, in Butterfly Gold, Spring Green, Snowflake Blue, Old Town Blue, et al, alas, are not longer available. But this set 100% compatible, so it makes for a quick way to restock broken pieces (no, NOTHING is 100% indestructible) at half the price of replacing pieces one (or four) at a time.
No, it doesn't have the stackable (and microwaveable) cup and saucers. It doesn't even have the ceramic (non-microwaveable but matching) mugs. But basic white cups and saucers are available anywhere. This has the basic pieces (minus the dessert bowl) that you probably want, plus some tumblers thrown in for good luck. But be careful, because the tumblers are clear, so they are not really Corelle, and they shouldn't be thrown far...

Perhaps because I don't use them every day my opinion is different. They look great and serve my only purpose, which is to display food at the dinner table and at the occasional dinner party. I have had no problems with the entertainment pieces. I take really good care of them knowing they are somewhat fragile. I bought them because they truly look beautiful and knew ahead of time they would be used occasionally.

(More customer reviews)This plate, the 10 inch is the normal size dinner plate, just so you know. It's easy to buy the wrong size with these because they come in so many sizes. My aunt has had the Winter Frost White as long as I can remember, and now I am slowly building my own collection. I love them - they are very light and strong. I tried throwing a plate on the kitchen floor and it is still intact. The material feels like a combination of porcelin and pyrex as weird as that sounds. They are so thin and light that I could probably carry at least 35 of them. This is perfect for your everyday meals. Highly recommended!

The user-friendly plates, bowls, and mugs are dishwasher- and microwave- safe. Plates and bowls can warm contents in conventional ovens up to 350 degrees F. For the best care, avoid soaking the mugs for prolonged periods of time. Corelle discourages the use of abrasives or scouring on these pieces. Users benefit from the three-year limited warranty against breaks and chips. Manufactured in the USA and China, the 16-piece dinnerware set measures 11-2/5 by 10-3/5 by 10-3/5 inches and weighs 9-1/5 pounds.

Mikasa Italian Countryside Covered Butter Dish Review

(More customer reviews)It is a beautiful butter dish but the inside rim of the lid is not covered in the clear enamel gloss, meaning that if the lid touches the butter, it soaks into the exposed ceramic and leaves a grease stain. I bought mine at a Mikasa outlet store and was able to exchange it for a new one. I haven't used the new one yet because I am waiting until I can find some sort of ceramic sealant so this doesn't happen again!

(More customer reviews)I have three sons, ages 6, 9 and12. Corelle livingware is a great benefit for our active, and occassionally clumsy family. It doesn't break. I'm very pleased with both the product and the price. My only complaint is that I wish Corelle had included mugs made out of the same Corelle ware material, instead of stoneware mugs. The stoneware mugs are not easily stackable in the cupboard, and of course, they are breakable (though we haven't broken one yet).
