(More customer reviews)For the first time, a Wilton product has let me down. We purchased the Halloween Pre-Baked Cookie House Kit to make with our children for the first time. We have been purchasing the Christmas Gingerbread House kit for years and have been throughly pleased every year, so thought this one would be much the same. We were sorely dissapointed. We thought it might have the tray like the Christmas one has - part of what makes it so easy, but it didn't. The walls of the house do not square up. We had to go to extreme lengths just to get the main four walls to match up and kind of stick together and even then, they were not at all sturdy. We could not get the roof to go on (after the walls drying overnight) without collapsing the 4 walls. We used up nearly 1/3 of our frosting just trying this. We ended up with large frosting covered cookies, a bunch of candy that really doesn't taste that good and 2 dissapointed children. I really doubt that we're the only ones who had this kind of problem with this product. It seems as if it was almost an afterthought and just thrown together. If you're going to buy it, buy with caution.

(More customer reviews)This is a great cake taker. The old Tupperware cake taker had a handle that was separate. I could never keep up with where I put it. This one has the handle attached. That is a good idea. I also like the way that the other side of the base has a place to put cupcakes so they will not slide around. I used it today to bring my cupcakes to the office party. It makes a great presentation too. This is perfect for mothers to send cupcakes to their children's class for holiday parties. It's great for cakes. You can travel with them and not worry about the cake getting destroyed. If you do not like to bake, you can purchase a cake from your local bakery and keep it fresh in this cake taker. Everyone needs to have one of these. The Round Cake Taker is also very nice.

Wilton Easy Flex Silicone 9 Inch by 5 Inch Loaf Pan Review

(More customer reviews)I got the Wilton set, with muffin pan, cake pan, loaf pan. The first time I used it, the smell from the oven was overwhelmingly sickening, very chemical. I thought it was because I hadn't washed it first. After washing, it was the same. As soon as it heats up in the oven, it starts to STINK. SO I did some searching on the internet - quickly found out that you really want silicone bakeware that is 100% silicone. Cheaper brands use plastic fillers which causes the odor during baking. Turns out you can tell easily by twisting a bit of the silicone - if it turns whitish, it's got plastic fillers. Pure silicone will retain it's color. The Wilton immediately turns whitish when twisted. The smell while it's hot is just nasty. I'll be returning these today - I may exchange for a higher quality and give silicone another chance. ALSO - note that silicone is NOT non-stick - it is stick resistant but the manufacturers all still recommend greasing. Wilton says it clearly on their website.

Casabella Silicone Bread Loaf Pan Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this to use for gluten-free bread, the almond-meal recipe from the Elana's Pantry blog (which is a great recipe, and she has one book out and another coming- highly recommend). It works well for this purpose. The thing about silicone is that it bends, so as the bread bakes, it does yield a bit to the rising. You get a bit of a pot-bellied loaf. If you want a loaf with super straight sides, get a metal pan. I'm pretty happy with this. I can wait about 5 minutes after taking the loaf out of the oven and flip it out of the pan without problem. The more carbs and less oil there is in the recipe, the more issues I have with sticking. I've learned that anything with chocolate chips (mini or regular) sticks to my silicone bakeware. In such cases, I really let everything cool to room temperature (let the sugar solidify) before trying to remove the baked item.

Given all the recent news about how Chinese products are poisoning our pets through tainted pet food--not to mention, our children through lead paint in toys--the last thing I wanted was a Chinese bread tray that could be heated in the oven! Someone out there must think that I want a new career as The Mad Hatter.
Note to Amazon: adopt a policy of honestly reporting where ALL products are manufactured, so that consumers can make informed decisions about whether or not they wish to purchase them.

(More customer reviews)I rated the product 4 stars because it is a quality product just not the size I thought I was buying. I bought these because they are all attached together thinking it would make getting them in and out of the oven easier than having to handle each little pan. They arrived in great condition, and in a timely manner. The company did use a scotch tape on the inside of the pans to hold the paper packgage information to the pans. The tape residue took some work to remove even with Go-gone. It would be nice if they had put the tape on the outside of the pan not the inside of them. I thought I had checked the size when ordering but was surprised when I opened the box. They are shallower than I expected and smaller. I did not return them because it was my fault. I will use them for something a snack cake or bars maybe. Before ordering I was using 2 Range Kleen Mini Loaf Pans I like them but you have to handle each little pan getting them in and out of the oven. If these are the size you are looking for then I would not hesitate to buy them. They are well made, and mounted on the metal bar together making it easier to get in and out of the oven.
