Little bigger than I thought it would be but I guess it needs to be to hold (6) bagels. Haven't tried to put that many in the holder yet. We'll see how well they fit??

(More customer reviews)The other reviewer must own the company that is selling these bunk containers which keep food less fresh than the plastic bags the grocer provides. REally...not only do they not work they do not wash well in the dishwasher, become totally mishapen and are difficult to seal. I have been using the glad and zip lock containers and they also keep food fresher than these do. These containers are difficult to store, have lids that warp and the food I eagerly stored in them rotted so fast I was angry that I bought them. Not only that I purchased these on the always fresh official site. The picture shows 10 containers with lids and promises that you will get 2 sets if ordered that day...which i did. My invoice stated 20 pieces and after 4 weeks and $9 in shipping fees I received 5 bunk containers. These people should be sued. This is the first time I have bought anything from those ads on TV..and I know now why all the ads feature a $19.95 product with excessive shipping and handling fees. This is borderline criminal marketing designed to rip off the consumer for an amount too little to fight over and too expensive or difficult to return the merchandise for a refund thus leaving the consumer to just 'eat' the crappy merchandise. I think more consumers need to raise the dickens for these types of products. Especially this one which is THE WORST.

I will bring loaves of bread to share at work, or give them to friends and they always ask how I cut it so perfectly. I can make thin slices with ease. I have never done any sharpening or maintenance to it and it still looks and works like new.

It was dented when I received it. The opening mechanism was not smooth and the decorative rubber gasket tore after several attempts to open and shut the bread box....buyer beware!

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item because I needed a bread box and the tuscany fruits design matches the rest of my kitchen decor. Even though this particular style is much smaller than what I originally wanted, it is such a pretty jar. I think of it more as a jar than a bread box. It also will not hold the longer type bread if you want to keep the bread in its original wrapping. But it's such a pretty jar and it looks very nice sitting on my counter by the sink. It is also more money than what I had wanted to pay but I still love it!

When you have a lot of bread to store, there is always toast on the menu. Where there is toast, there is butter. This low-profile brushed chrome box holds 2 full sized loaves of bread and leaves NO FINGERPRINTS like some of the stainless steel or glass front boxes. I also found this to be the most aesthetically appealing bread box since it coordinated with my toaster and coffee maker. So far, my bread likes its new home!

It's a little tight for 2 full-size loaves of bread though and the packaging needs to be better. Mine had a little dent in the front panel when it arrived, but it wasn't bad enough to make me want to ship it back. All in all, I am pleased with this box. fast forward to 2009 - It is still used everyday and still looks great on my counter. Easy to keep clean.

(More customer reviews)Perfect size and nice styling made this a super addition to our compact kitchen. But within a few weeks the cheap flimsy plastic latch broke. The spring loaded hook snapped off and now it is always open because the spring action keeps it that way. We're not really sure what to do with it but at $50 we certainly expected more. Very disappointed. How complex can it be to design a bread bin that is robust and made to last?

(More customer reviews)The breadkeeper (as seen on TV) is plastic and originally arrived cracked. It wasn't very well packaged. I requested an received info to return it, and it was replaced within about 2 weeks, well packaged. It's an OK breadkeeper/slicer guide, but I'm not thrilled with it. I bake my own bread, no preservatives, and it doesn't keep it as fresh as my breadsack. I do use the slicer guide that came with it to slice more evenly, and not thin on top and thick at the bottom or vice versa. For the cost, it's an OK deal. And the service was good.
