Our hand wrought iron pieces are made for us in the Lancaster County, PA. Amish community. With classic style and functional design, these versatile pieces blend into most decorating schemes, This is solid iron-not wire. These pieces are finished in Satin Black and work well in any room. This is our new small Baker's Rack or Counter Shelf. It is just over 12 inches wide and 9 3/4 inches front to back. The total height is 15 1/2 inches at the back to the top of the scrolls. This has 2 shelves which are 6 inches apart and measure 11 3/4 inches by 9 1/2 inches. Paper measures 11 by 8 1/2 and fits nicely. This is a great way to display your baskets and organize the kitchen or your desk as well! It also is great in the bath for towels and toiletries.

(More customer reviews)Got these at a Target store nearby, rather than online. This is a really good value, as the same products (not even including the scoops) would cost over $28 if purchased separately.
The large 120 oz holds a 5 lb bag of flour, and I've been looking for a while for a convenient, attractive container for that. I will be stocking up on these to do my whole pantry.
The one-handed, one-motion snap lid is a life-saver, especially if you have kids in the house. If it's not quick and simple, it just doesn't get closed up at my house. With these containers, it only takes a quick smack and it's closed up tight. So convenient, even the 15 year old will do it (I can't tell you how many stale "reclosable bags" of stuff I've thrown away).
For me, these are awesome. I would highly recommend them.

When you look at this set and read the description, "12 pc s/s spice tins," you think you are getting a set of 4 tins per order, right? Wrong. I got one tin per order. Someone must have done a poor job describing this item, because it is not the set pictured nor described. The tins are nice, but they are a push on/off lid that I'm afraid will soon loosen. I wish they were screw on/off instead. The shipping was so costly that I kept them, but I am going to make some noise about this order.

Safely transport very sharp knives back and forth to my church culinary chores without taking a chunk out of an unsuspecting colleague. I give it only four stars because it doesn't seem quite as good as some similar products I've seen on various Food Network documentaries, which seem to easily carry things which are a lot less flat than the average knife.
But, if the price is right and carrying knives is what you want, get this product, it is especially good at being stiff, avoiding the risk of pushing a sharp tip out at you at an awkward moment.

If careful, I can get half of a 25 pound bag of flour in one 40 cup container so I use 2 per bag. It is easy to open and easy to clean. The handle is nice, too. I think it is a plus that it is made in the USA. I have one Lock & Lock container (the bread loaf size) and it is easier to line up and snap down the lid on the Snapware.

Natural Wood Kitchen Cart with Breakfast Bar Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased one of these a couple of years ago. It has provided much more than I could have asked for the price paid.

My kitchen is rather small with little work space. I needed a place to knead bread and do other things but also needed it to roll out of the way when not needed. This island turned out to be perfect. It does require a bit of assembly. Took me about 90 minutes. The result was a handsome & functional island in unfinished rubberwood. You can finish it with most stains or wood finishes but I would recommend leaving the countertop unfinished. More sanitary & easier to keep clean. (Yes, handled properly, wood is every bit as sanitary as plastic, stone, or metal. Keep ALL liquids off of it!)
It's sturdy enough for hard kitchen use. I have pounded meat on it (on a cutting board) and beat bread dough to death. I have also used it as an impromptu breakfast bar & even rolled it onto the patio to use as a dry bar once. Worked wonderfully. But it really shines as a place to slice. dice, chop & mix. And it's the best bread board I've ever had. (NOTE: DO NOT USE A KNIFE ON THE WOOD!! Put a cutting board down to protect the surface.) It even holds 3 separate, operating machines (bread machine, slow cooker, & my large Kitchen-Aid stand mixer)& still leaves a good working area. The back leaf folds down & reduces the storage space when you need to roll it out of the way.
The only shortcomings (and they are minor) is the depth of the storage. The cabinets are not deep enough to store large pans. Youcan get two 1 gal. water/milk jugs back to back & that's about it. Also the drawers are too short & too shallow to store long items like ladles, cooking spoons, & butcher knives. A silverware tray won't fit. Also when assembling, stagger the 2 lockable wheels on opposite corners. Otherwise the island will pivot when pushed.
If you need working space for a small kitchen & don't want spend big bucks, this is the island to buy. After seeing mine & how I use it, several friends bought one too.

BPA Free Snapware 38 Piece Airtight Plastic Storage Container Set Review

(More customer reviews)I already owned a set of Snapware, but when I saw this set at the local big box store (rhymes with "bosco") I couldn't resist.
Snapware is airtight and leakproof, made from polypropylene, made in the USA, and has a lifetime warranty. They've been making square boxes for years, but this set is finally targeted at the lunchbox set. Wonderful.
From smallest to largest:
- The "mini-bowls" (red gasket) hold four ounces, about the same size as a pudding cup. They'll also do well for dipping sauces.
- The mini squares (reddish purple gasket) are 4"x4" and 2" deep. Good for desserts.
- The shallow small rectangles (blue-green gasket) are 4"x6", and also 2" deep. Good for carrot sticks and such. The deep small rectangles are the same size (and share lids) and are 4.5" deep - perfect for sandwiches (packed on edge).
- The shallow medium rectangles (purple gasket) are 6"x8", and also 2" deep. The right size for a folded tortilla or cut pita bread, or an oversized sandwich. The deep medium rectangles are the same size but 4.5" deep.
- The divided medium rectangles are the same size and depth as the shallow medium rectangles (and will share lids with them, and with the deep medium rectangles). They're designed for a sandwich and snack - there is a square bread-sized hole, and a smaller hole next to it.
- The small bowl isn't so small - about 3.5 cups. It has a domed lid, and cries out for a salad.
- The two large rectangles (dark blue gasket) are very large - more like lunchboxes than lunch boxes. I would use the shallower one for a dozen small cupcakes, and you could probably fit an entire small loaf of bread in the deep one. They share lids, and one of those lids has a handle in it for your convenience.
Since the boxes are designed to nest, and since they share lids between different depths, these boxes will take up considerably less space in your kitchen than other similar boxes. They are remarkably well designed. The only thing I would change about this set is to add a couple of deep mini squares - I use those for packing apples and pears, and they're indispensable.

(More customer reviews)I actually bought one of these racks at Lowes a while back for about the same price. It is just great. I lived in a small apartment and this rack seem to double the storage of my kitchen. I filled the bottom shelves with wicker baskets and was able to store pots and pans, plastic containers and many more kitchen items. It's so much better than kitchen drawers. You can store a ton of plastic containers and lids in the baskets and have easy access to them. You can hang utensils for easy access. I use the top shelf for storing tea boxes, candles and small items. In addition to all the storage you have another 3 feet of hardwood (mine is oak) counter space for preparing food. If you live with a small kitchen this rack is an instant remodel. I can't say enough about this rack. It's great.

(More customer reviews)I recently replaced my decorative-but-inefficient canisters with a set of Tupperware Modular Mates, and I couldn't be happier. They are a nice weight/thickness, and the lids seal easily. I wanted containers big enough to store an entire package (ie. a 5lb bag of sugar, etc), with enough space for a bit extra (so I didn't have to run out completely before restocking, and to allow some room to level a measure over the container). Initially I was going with all rectangles, but found myself wanting a square for brown sugar as the Rectangle 2 just seemed too huge (while the Rectangle 1 just seemed too shallow).
In case the amounts might help someone else make a decision, I currently have:
5lbs+ (probably 7-8lbs?) of all-purpose flour in a Rectangle 3
5lbs of bread flour in a Rectangle 2
5lbs+ (6-7lbs?) of sugar in a Rectangle 2
1lb+ (1.5lbs?) of brown sugar in a Square 2

Vitamix Tritan Copolyester 32-Ounce Container with Dry Blade, Lid, and Recipe Book Review

(More customer reviews)I'm a huge Vitamix fan and have used one for many years. Mine didn't come with a dry blade container so I purchased one separately more recently. There's no question that it does a great job with coffee and whole grains, but the regular container works fine for some of those things, too. Recently I started grinding my own grains for bread on occasion. For example, I couldn't find sunflower seed flour so bought some kernels and made my own. I found the regular container made this flour meal just as well as this dry blade container did. Both were fast and effective. The regular container also made wheat flour, powdered sugar and other nut flours just fine. This container did a better job with coffee however.
Then, as long as I was experimenting, I decided to make my morning smoothie in this smaller container, and voila, it worked great, so I've been using this small one more for smaller quantities of things than because the blade is different.
All in all, I'm healthier because of the Vitamix which has proven its worth many times over. I like having the second smaller container and use it regularly, but not necessarily for dry processing since both blade types seem to handle the majority of things. I haven't used the recipe book (which didn't come with my container when I bought it some time ago) so I can't speak to that, but I do believe the container itself is a nice addition to my Vitamix, though not a requirement. One last note: the regular tamper also works with this container because of the tamper's graduated size and this container's smaller plug size.

Bread Box / Toast Jar Tuscany Fruits Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item because I needed a bread box and the tuscany fruits design matches the rest of my kitchen decor. Even though this particular style is much smaller than what I originally wanted, it is such a pretty jar. I think of it more as a jar than a bread box. It also will not hold the longer type bread if you want to keep the bread in its original wrapping. But it's such a pretty jar and it looks very nice sitting on my counter by the sink. It is also more money than what I had wanted to pay but I still love it!
