(More customer reviews)When I was growing up in the 50's/60's, every cook had a granny fork. When my mom passed, somehow I didn't get The Fork. The tines on this baby are really sharp, so I wouldn't get near non-stick with it, but it's fine with cast iron. Love it for lightly beating eggs, testing taters for doneness and removing them from the pot, turning pork chops, all the stuff my granny and mom used it for. Really nice price for a nostalgic and versatile utensil! (I even eat with mine, but ya gotta watch those sharp tines. You could get hurt.)

(More customer reviews)I have been looking for some knives for my wife since she basically had NO decent knives. I did a ton of research on various knives and was looking at getting her a good brand name knife. I looked at all the big ones Henckels, Shun, RH Forschner, Wusthof, Global etc... I even looked at a few deals I found on Ginsu (insert mockery and laughter from professionals against the overly commercialized knife brand here :-)...) I'm not saying any of these knives are bad in any way, they each server their purpose and every person (and person's hand) is different, that's why these brands have been around for so long.
I had to consider my wife though... She's not big on spending $400 on a set of knives that she has to send off (or take somewhere) to be properly maintained/sharpened, and a lot of times, doesn't want to spend her time after preparing food, hand washing the knives. Well, my mom (and several other co-worker's moms) have had Rada knives for most of their lives and swear by them. The biggest issue I had with them was the handles... I didn't particularly care for them myself... Then I found they had a new black composite type handle, specifically designed to throw in the dishwasher... This was PERFECT for what my wife wanted. I purchased this with the RADA sharpener and any time one feels like it's loosing its edge.. I pull it across the sharpener a few times, and it's good as new.
I know these aren't on the same level as the big professional brand names, but the cost/value for our house outweighed everything else I looked at. I would recommend this to anyone professional or not... Who DOESN'T need a few knives you can throw in the dishwasher every once in a while? :-)

This one is the dishwasher black version. When I found this Rada knife went out and dug up grandmama's little silver knife. Yep, it's a Rada. Grandaddy says he only sharpened it about once a year. It's the best knife and he says when he dies I get that little jewel.He uses it every morning for his fried potatoes. It reminds me of a lot of great southern meals and family times, sitting around the table getting food ready to eat and doing a lot of canning.I'm so glad I found these knives & am working on getting the whole set.

(More customer reviews)This is a very high quality piece of kitchenware, and I feel that it's definitely worth spending the few extra bucks vs. the cheaper versions that are available at most chain stores.
Previous to owning this product, I had gone through many pizza cutters of several different designs. Two of my previous cutters were similar in design to this item and each had fallen apart after about a couple of months of use. This product has lasted me about 3 years, and it bears no signs of imminent and/or catastrophic failure.
What led me to buy this product is that I received one of Rada's steak knifes as a promotional gift, and I was very, very impressed with the sharpness and look of the cutlery, so I ended up buying several sets of knives, and then later purchased several other Rada offerings, this pizza cutter included.
Some users have described issues with the brushed aluminum handle coating suffering discoloration following repeated uses and dishwasher runs over a long period of time. I've owned this piece for about 3 years, and have run it through at least 50 dishwasher cycles (at LEAST), and I haven't noticed any discoloration over time. However, this is only my personal experience (as a grad student who consumes a lot of pizza and doesn't wash things by hand if not necessary[as opposed to the dishwasher]). Maybe Rada will introduce a black handle version in the future for those of you with concerns...

This is especially good for me because I tend to burn the bottom of things. I highly recommend this spoon. I would preferr to have the handle be a little better engineered, but that is the biggest problem.

(More customer reviews)I have a very old potato peeler that I thought worked great, but its getting kinda rusty and old looking, so I decided I would try a new peeler. I read all the reviews and this one sounded like the best to me. Everyone raved about how great it peeled, but I figured....how much of a difference can there really be in a peeler. Let me tell you, there IS a difference. It is very very easy to use. It just glides along the vegetable and takes off thinner slices than my old peeler. It just seems so much easier to use. I can't compare it to the other new peelers, but I can tell you if you have an old peeler, do yourself a favor and get a new one.
I almost bought the one with the aluminum handle because it looks so pretty, but decided being able to put it in the dishwasher was more important than looks. It's bigger than I expected, but it still feels good in my hand, and my husband likes the bigger size (since he gets stuck doing most of the peeling). I'm very happy with this purchase.

When I went away to college I tried to find one for myself and have been scouring flea markets for years trying to find the seller/product. I tried every other peeler from cheap grocery store ones to expensive department store specialty shops, without equal results. I'm very glad to see them available on Amazon. This peeler is just as sharp today as it was the first day we bought it. Peels were thin and smooth all around whether you cut an apple/potato/whatever. Can be used by both righty/lefties and is very lightweight and maneuverable. I love it so much I ended buying 10 more for family members. Highly recommended!
