(More customer reviews)I bought one of these at bed bath and beyond, and I really like it. Our first round of pancakes we did with one of the recipes that came in the booklet. I had put the heat on the stove a little too high, so they were getting a little too dark for our taste, so I turned the stove down to low, and things rolled along nicely from there. It takes a little practice to get the hang of flipping them, but it's really not that hard. I do suggest non stick spray as that will make them flip easier. I know the other review said that hers started to rust right away, and if you don't keep it oiled it will, as ours started to a little as well. We just wiped it dry and put a light coating of oil on it and it's been fine ever since. We really enjoy it and have tried several of the recipes that came with it. The little extras that come with it aren't too exciting, the brush sort of disenegrated and the injector is too small to really do anything with it, but the handle cover is nice as well as the sugar shaker.

(More customer reviews)My new (6 month old) pyrex broke violently shortly after it was taken out of the oven and set on the oven to cool. None of the stove top burners were on or had been on for hours, and ut was NOT on a burner which vents heat from the oven. All the dish contained was bread pudding, and it certainly hadn't been roasting under the broiler. The glass shards were numerous, large, sharp, very hot, and flew everywhere, with an enormously loud breaking sound, so whether or not you want to call that an explosion, I'm very glad I wasn't in the room. I've been cooking with pyrex my whole life and never had a problem with it before, so I'm loth to give it a bad review, but it was a pretty scary experience.

Linden Sweden Twixit Clip Bag Sealers, Set of 27 Assorted Review

(More customer reviews)I discovered clips for plastics bags when I lived in Stockholm for several months during 1987. About ten years ago, I found this Swedish brand -- Twixit -- here in the U.S. and bought a couple of packages. I've been using them ever since for any number of things and I'd hate to do without them. They make a tight seal -- the small clips are great for bags you twist and clip, such as bread bags or the ones fresh carrots come in. The largest ones work nicely on the plastic bags inside cereal boxes. One of my favorite things is buying those inexpensive plastic bags that don't have any kind of built-in closures (1 gallon capacity) and come with those annoying twist-ties with the wire up the middle of the plastic strip. With these clips, those cheap plastic bags are way more versatile than the expensive ones with a "zip" closure.
The largest ones will even close a papery bag of Pepperidge Farm cookies tightly -- and nothing else I know of will do that well.
They not only seal tightly, but they last for a very long time. All my original clips still work, but I have enough of them in use now that I needed to buy some more and the place I got them from before no longer sells them. I also needed more of the smallest size because I use more of them than the medium and large clips. So finding them here was a godsend.
Leave to the Swedes to come up with something as practical and as excellent as these clips!

(More customer reviews)This is not smaller than regular muffin pans. It's straightsided where regular muffin pans have slanted sides. This pan has muffin cups that are 2-1/2-inch-wide by 1-1/2-inch-deep. My regular cheap metal muffin pan cups are the same depth; at the bottom they are 2-inches wide while at the top they are 2-3/4-inches wide. It's actually an appearance issue, not a size issue.
As for quality, it's from Lodge and it's cast iron. It's superior.

It comes off with extra scrubbing, but now I have to put something over the rack before using it to ensure my food doesn't get any rust on it! Wash by hand, not in the dishwasher! I would lower my star rating to a 3, but I can't edit the stars when editing a review.
