(More customer reviews)But not necessarily this one. I bought this grill from Amazon in March. I use it alot, and even considered giving it 5 stars, but I have a couple of issues with it.
Compared to the other panini grills I have seen (Villaware, Krups, Wolfgang Puck), the DeLonghi has fewer, more widely spaced ribs. This design makes it easy to clean with a cloth, and no cleaning "comb" is provided. However, a drawback to the wide spacing is it can allow your panini to squish down into the valleys where all the oily stuff goes. You would be surprised how much oily goo a peperoni and mozzerella panini can make, especially if you brush the outside with olive oil, butter, or mayo before grilling like I do.
A minor annoyance: when it is stored upright on its back, it teeter totters on the lid's power cord. IMO, a high end appliance shouldn't have such a glaring design flaw.
Even though I like the DeLonghi alot, if I were buying another one, I would try the Villaware.

All Wheat is Not EqualWe have had the experience of growing wheatgrass and being in the commercial wheatgrass business over the last 14 years. During that time we have experienced many different kinds of wheat. We have used wheat from Texas, Utah, Montana, California, and Israel both organic and non organic. There are two kinds of wheat one can buy: chemical free and certified organic. Most wheat is chemical free in that the farmer might or might not use an herbicide to control the weeds in his fields. If he uses chemicals on the wheat, it will cause a distinct taste in the bread thus no chemicals are used on the wheat itself.Then there is certified organic: Certified organic is the same as chemical free except the wheat is grown by farmers who have not used chemicals on their land for over ten years. Over 150 fragrances available! We have all the great scents used in our candles plus many more. Each BOTTLE contains 1/2 oz of fragrance. Scented oils have many uses. You can place some oil in a ceramic lamp ring that sits on a light bulb or put some in a simmering pot to fill a room with scent. The oils can also be used in the water in "rainbow" vacuum cleaners. With conventional vacuums, put some oil on a cotton ball and suck it into the vacuum cleaner bag and it will give off some scent while you vacuum. Wilma's favorite trick is to put several drops of oil on a damp cloth and throw it into the clothes dryer with a load of sheets or other laundry. The sheets or laundry will smell wonderful. Be sure not to apply directly to the sheets as it will leave an oil stain. These are candle fragrance oils and may NOT be suitable for "skin safe" applications or for conversion into fragrance lamp oils. Each bottle contains approximately a half ounce of highly scented oil. All our oils are full strength and undiluted.

I recently tried Sticky Toffee Pudding in the 4 oz room spray and it's definitely become my favorite -- I can't get enough of it! On the other hand, my mother loves the Waffle Cone and I ordered her 2 bottles from the Demeter website ($14 each, plus flat rate shipping) and they came smelling nothing like the waffle cone she loves. It almost smells rancid like whiskey. There's no problem with exchanges -- that's what their website says anyway. I don't know if it's the room spray version that is bad or if they reformulated, but I'm going to send it back and pay the extra for the cologne version.
As for other scents I've tried:
Sugar Cookie - Very very sweet. A little too sweet for me.
Brownie - An artificial chocolate smell, but not offensive. Doesn't last very long.
Graham Cracker - Hard to find the scent in the sea of alcohol in the product.
Waffle - Very maple syrup-y.
Strawberry Ice Cream - Very artificial owerpowering scent. Almost like a very concentrated strawberry Quik. (Strawberry milk powder brand.)
Scottish Shortbread - There is some sort of oil in the mixture and when it arrived it was nearly frozen. I didn't care for this smell either. sort of an almond cookie smell but also masked by the alcohol smell.
Mojito - Ick. My mom received this as a promo item somewhere and it smells like a hospital to me! I'm not sure which component of Mojito smell is doing that to it, but I'd pass.
There's a Jelly Belly line scent that has something to do with blackberries. It was a pretty harsh scent. Not light and airy -- very contrived and strong. Over the top but not in a good way. Same goes for the Blueberry Muffin in the Jelly Belly line.
Vanilla Cake Batter - Not very exciting. Very vanilla, not very cakey.
I reviewed the Rubber and Mesquite scents on Amazon somewhere -- pass on those.
Before you invest the money, go to the Demeter site and get the $5 1/2 oz splash version of the scent you like. Or just get the Sticky Toffee Pudding. ;)

This knife cuts through the hard crusted breads effortlessly, I was very surprised! It cuts through my no-knead whole wheat loaf like butter. I am usually sawing through the crust with my other knives. The seration on this knive is quite different from my other more expensive knives.

Chicago Metallic Commercial 1-Pound Loaf Pan Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these loaf pans in frustration: frustration that the cheap ones at the dime store always rusted as soon as they got wet, frustration that non-stick surfaces scratch if you look at them funny, frustration that no one seems to understand what a normal size loaf pan is. What finally sold me on this pan was the magic phrase "Twenty-five year warranty." I figured that no one would put a twenty-five year warranty on a pan that was going to rust.
This 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch pan (these are the inside/bottom measurements) is just the right size for your typical "loaf of bread" recipe. I bought two and recommend that to anyone who bakes more than twice a year.
We're washing it as if it's a non-stick pan, although it's technically not. The surface cures, though, and that will happen faster if you don't take a wad of steel wool to it. I usually line the bottom with a (lessee here, if you cut a half-sheet size piece of parchment paper into quarters, what do you get?) a small piece of parchment paper and entirely skip the grease-and-flour step. I've never had any trouble getting any sort of bread out of the pan. I loosen the sides with a plastic spatula, and the bread slides out perfectly.
The only downside is that the folded metal on the corners can trap little tiny crumbs. This is a bigger problem with quick breads and other slack doughs. So the question you need to answer for yourself is this: To get an awesome, well-behaved loaf pan that will never rust, is it worth running a toothpick through the corners each time you wash it? I decided that twenty seconds and one-tenth of a cent (for a cheap toothpick) per washing was definitely worth it to me.
