I bought these pans because I liked the weight and the size. I have used them three times each, and the coating is peeling off of the inside. I wouldn't recommend them, and I won't buy Oneida bakeware again.

Chicago Metallic Commercial 1-1/2-Pound Loaf Pan Review

Chicago Metallic Commercial 1-1/2-Pound Loaf Pan
Average Reviews:

I have baked bread for ten years and it is with delight that I cast away my old battered bread pans. These new pans are sturdy enough for a lifetime and the light colored metal surface does not burn the crust. I find this especially important when baking breads with a high sugar content which tend to over-brown. I will never buy dark, non-stick coated pans after using these. The bread does not stick at all when I use just a little oil on the pan and the sharply creased corners do not get all gunked up (as I feared), they just make a beautifully shaped loaf.

Demarle Silform Half-Size Sub Roll Pan 503004 Review

Demarle Silform Half-Size Sub Roll Pan 503004
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just ordered my second pan - not because the first one didn't work - but because I loved it so much that I needed another one!
These are the perfect size for sub rolls, and there is no way you're going to fit 5 rolls on a half sheet pan without them sticking together while rising - unless you have this product!
I even use them for lean dough baguettes - I just remove the bread from the forms for the last 10 minutes of baking and place them on the baking stone so the crust can carmelize.
These aren't cheap, but they'll last forever, and they take a lot of the frustration out of trying to bake in larger batches.
Now that I'll have two forms, I can bake once a week and have 10 beautifully formed, professional looking sub rolls.

I made a meatloaf in the pan and it cooked perfectly. I have always used a stone pan and it would dry out the meal.
Not anymore! It baked under the time it usually does and was very moist. I highly recommend!

This is the best bread pan I've ever used. It is not too dark or too light, so it promotes perfect browning. It is heavy duty. It will not rust. I have used many pans over the years and eventually they rust.

Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse 12-1/2-by-5-Inch Non-stick Springform Loaf Pan Review

Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse 12-1/2-by-5-Inch Non-stick Springform Loaf Pan
Average Reviews:

This pan bakes evenly, cleans up nicely, and looks very cool. The base is raised at an angle to stop leaks from running over into your oven. It's a nice feature, but I have not had any issues with leaking. The buckle works easily and securely. Also it is not made in China - which is, unfortunately, rather difficult to find these days. This pan is German made. It has been so much easier to get my desserts to release with this springform loaf pan that I am going to get one or two more.

Bayou Classic 7490, 12" Cast Iron Cornbread Pan Review

Bayou Classic 7490, 12 Cast Iron Cornbread Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Growing up in the South, my grandmother always used these to make the cornbread 'sticks' in the summer. If not in a 10" skillet, these were how she did it.
I looked for them for a long time, commercially...as the pans went in the estate to my aunt...finally, I found them. I had the same problem another mentioned here, at first...until I spoke with my aunt about them. The trick is to grease the pans before pouring the batter...and then upon taking them out of the oven, let the cast-iron cool down before turning them over...then, just letting the bread 'fall out'...
A little practice, and it is quite-simple.
The ones I have are well-made, and do just what they are supposed to do...very well.

Average Reviews:

I did not buy this through Amazon, I purchased it locally from a small shop in my town.
At first glance it looks great. Nice heavy metal, smooth non-stick surface, I thought I'd hit the jackpot.
Apparently, not so.
I baked with it ONCE and it (and what I was baking) is completely ruined. I baked a simple loaf of white bread. The SLICKDAD non-stick finish is a total joke. I cared for the pan as directed beforehand, the loaf still stuck, and the SLICKDAD finish came off ON THE LOAF! I tossed the loaf and the pan in one go. I would NOT buy this again, nor would I EVER recommend it for anyone.

I usually bake several loaves of homemade bread every week. This kind of a pan is wonderful to use. It cleans up great. Chicago Metallic Commercial II Traditional Uncoated 1-1/2-Pound Loaf Pan Review

Chicago Metallic Commercial II Traditional Uncoated 1-1/2-Pound Loaf Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just got two of these pans for Christmas, and have just completed my first bake with them - they are superb! I do a lot of baking, however I have the most pathetic collection of loaf pans known to man - and every one is supposedly non-stick. Not one of them will release a loaf after baking, no matter what you do. So, I finally decided to spring for the real thing and get Chicago Metallics.
Why the hell I waited so long I don't know, but damn, these are magnificent.
And I also wanted to balance the comments of the two reviewers who dis'ed these pans. The reason why they are having such a bad experience with their pans is that they are killing them with kindness. They won't understand what I'm about to say, but the truth is that these pans are NOT supposed to be cleaned to within an inch of their life each time they're used. In fact, the less you clean them, the better! They will soon begin to blacken and become seasoned. Treat them like you would a cast iron skillet, and they'll last a lifetime.
And why would you want to clean out the tiny crevasses of the reinforcement wire? There is NO hygiene issue at the temperatures that bread or whatever is baked. After a dozen or so bakes, those openings will seal themselves, and your pan will be so well seasoned that you won't even need to oil it when you bake.
On my first bake, I oiled the pans, and baked at 375F for 40 minutes - I let the bread cool in the pans, and they literally fell out when I tilted the pan. FIRST USE! None of my non-stick pans will do that!
I'm delighted - and I look forward to a lifetime of pleasure from them.

Chicago Metallic Commercial 1-Pound Loaf Pan Review

Chicago Metallic Commercial 1-Pound Loaf Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought these loaf pans in frustration: frustration that the cheap ones at the dime store always rusted as soon as they got wet, frustration that non-stick surfaces scratch if you look at them funny, frustration that no one seems to understand what a normal size loaf pan is. What finally sold me on this pan was the magic phrase "Twenty-five year warranty." I figured that no one would put a twenty-five year warranty on a pan that was going to rust.
This 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch pan (these are the inside/bottom measurements) is just the right size for your typical "loaf of bread" recipe. I bought two and recommend that to anyone who bakes more than twice a year.
We're washing it as if it's a non-stick pan, although it's technically not. The surface cures, though, and that will happen faster if you don't take a wad of steel wool to it. I usually line the bottom with a (lessee here, if you cut a half-sheet size piece of parchment paper into quarters, what do you get?) a small piece of parchment paper and entirely skip the grease-and-flour step. I've never had any trouble getting any sort of bread out of the pan. I loosen the sides with a plastic spatula, and the bread slides out perfectly.
The only downside is that the folded metal on the corners can trap little tiny crumbs. This is a bigger problem with quick breads and other slack doughs. So the question you need to answer for yourself is this: To get an awesome, well-behaved loaf pan that will never rust, is it worth running a toothpick through the corners each time you wash it? I decided that twenty seconds and one-tenth of a cent (for a cheap toothpick) per washing was definitely worth it to me.
