(More customer reviews)These pans make great whole wheat bread. The little slices are just big enough to grab out of the toaster. Great if you are trying to limit your carbs, because you can have two slices for a sandwich, so no martyr factor.
The crusts are always perfect and the kids fight over who gets the heel.
HOWEVER - I've had this in my "save for later" box waiting for them to go down to their "normal" price, and just recently the price has QUADRUPLED !!! They are NOT worth that.
I know I can't put numbers in here, but the price should be in the single digits.
Editing to say - I don't think it had anything to do with me but the item dropped to its normal price :)

(More customer reviews)This pan bakes evenly, cleans up nicely, and looks very cool. The base is raised at an angle to stop leaks from running over into your oven. It's a nice feature, but I have not had any issues with leaking. The buckle works easily and securely. Also it is not made in China - which is, unfortunately, rather difficult to find these days. This pan is German made. It has been so much easier to get my desserts to release with this springform loaf pan that I am going to get one or two more.

Nice size, smaller loaf, but long, great for open faced sandwiches or smaller regular sandwiches. I have used it a while now and I love the non stick qualities.

(More customer reviews)I purchased 4 more of these recently just to make sure I can still get them. I couldn't find them at the major warehouse store that I original bought them at. I am still using that original set. They started to get discolored, bread was starting to stick and I thought I would have to toss them out. So, as a last resort I cleaned them with SOS pads. Wow. Like new and it doesn't seem to have harmed them at all. Bread pops right out (I do spray the pans with cooking spray before baking.) The size is perfect for sandwiches which fit in standard size sandwich bags. For those of you with a Bosch - one full bread recipe makes 4 of these loaves.

As it turned out its non stick coating and heavy duty construction insure that it will last my life time. My other bread pans have been relegated to storage. It makes a beautiful loaf of bread.

Used my bread machine to do the hard work: one hour; put the dough in the pan, the cover on and baked for 30 min. Beautiful evenly browned crust on all four sides, and the quickest bake and clean up ever! I am very very pleased with the performance of this pan. Did not have to wash it afterwards -just a simple wipe with a paper towel. It released the loaf of bread that easily. The 9 x 4 x 4 size is excellent for two. USA Pans recycles and the price is excellent!

(More customer reviews)This excellent bread pan produces outstanding loaves that do not stick to it. I used it the day it arrived with great success.
I used a "Pain de Mie" recipe from King Arthur's Flour that I found on the Internet which, with the addition of a 1/3 cup more water, produces a perfectly square fine crumb loaf which is excellent as a sandwich bread or toast.
The ribbed design of this pan evenly distributes heat during cooking and releases the loaf intact. It is very easy to clean.
The pan is a little expensive but substantial, well made and of very good quality. I highly recommend it.

Norpro 12 Inch Nonstick Bread Pan Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted a longer bread pan so that I could make a two pound loaf that would provide more bread slices for essentially the same amount of work. I could not readily find the dimensions of this bread pan (other than its 12" length"), but after a search I found it stated to be 4.5" wide. I thought it would be the same width as the 10" pan I had been using, which I found to be 4.5" wide also: at its bottom. So when it arrived I had an unpleasant surprise: the bottom of this Norpro pan measures only 3.5" wide across its bottom, and 4.5" across its top. My old pan is 5.5" across its top. So what ever bread I gain in length, I lose in width. And so my search for the holy grail, a 12" pan with a 5.5" top, continues...

With this pan, when the bread is baked you just turn it upside down and it falls out.
I just wish the sides were wider and higher because the loaf is pretty small for bread slices.
