Fox Run 4-Inch Loaf Pan Set, Set of Four Review

(More customer reviews)It is 4" long by 2.25" wide at the top of the cavity; 3.5" long by 1.75" wide at the bottom of the cavity; just slightly over 1.25" deep. In other words, it is most definitely petite... some might even consider it tiny. Perfect for baking personal-sized or sample-sized breads/cakes/meatloaf/etc. Too small (in my opinion) if one's intent is to bake goodies in it for gifting ONE loaf to a household consisting of 2 or more people.
It's not non-stick but if you grease the inside of the pan's cavity lightly, the baked good slides out of the pan easily. (I have not yet needed to run a knife along the edges nor to thump the bottom of the pan to coax out the bread/cake.)
Inside the cavity of the loaf pans are flat surfaces with curved edges and curved corners that make washing/cleaning these pans very easy.
Craftsmanship and quality of material are good. I've used my set almost once a week since I got it about a month ago and the pans have not warped, dented, nor rusted.

I made 8 mini loaf cakes and then the children iced and decorated their own to make Pirate treasure chests. The cakes came out so great and easy out of the mini loaf pans. It was such a cute idea and the children loved it. The pans were great.

(5 sets of 4) I use the frozen bread rolls-- Rhodes brand. Let rise (two or three in each bread baker), bake, remove from bread baker and cool on racks. Place bread loaf back in bread baker after it has cooled. Place on table with softened butter available. One loaf is enough for two people to share. Great party fun! Looks great on table and compliments any meal. Would also work for individual meat loaves or use your imagination for combination of meat and vegetables.

At first glance it looks great. Nice heavy metal, smooth non-stick surface, I thought I'd hit the jackpot.
Apparently, not so.
I baked with it ONCE and it (and what I was baking) is completely ruined. I baked a simple loaf of white bread. The SLICKDAD non-stick finish is a total joke. I cared for the pan as directed beforehand, the loaf still stuck, and the SLICKDAD finish came off ON THE LOAF! I tossed the loaf and the pan in one go. I would NOT buy this again, nor would I EVER recommend it for anyone.

(More customer reviews)I purchased 4 more of these recently just to make sure I can still get them. I couldn't find them at the major warehouse store that I original bought them at. I am still using that original set. They started to get discolored, bread was starting to stick and I thought I would have to toss them out. So, as a last resort I cleaned them with SOS pads. Wow. Like new and it doesn't seem to have harmed them at all. Bread pops right out (I do spray the pans with cooking spray before baking.) The size is perfect for sandwiches which fit in standard size sandwich bags. For those of you with a Bosch - one full bread recipe makes 4 of these loaves.

(More customer reviews)I ordered these to use for baking banana and pumpkin and apple spice breads to put in holiday gift packages. I purchased the small set of 25 (6x2x2.5). The dimensions are spot on, of course the bottom is smaller because it narrows down like most pans.
They held up to my thick bread batters and the hot oven just fine. Since they were gifts I only got to pull the bread out of a couple and it came out of the pan pretty well with a run of the knife around the edges before turning it over. Overall they do what they're intended to do, and at less than $1 each too. Will likely be purchasing again come Easter for carrot cakes.

I suppose you "could" bake a 2 bite-size loaf of bread, one at a time, but I don't think anybody has that kind of time. It is a cute little tin though, would be good for a little kid's play kitchen set, or for keeping anything tiny in. I'm thinking of a water/food dish for my parakeet!
