Tumbleweed Pottery Monkey Bread Mold Review

(More customer reviews)The "monkey Bread" mold performs just fine. The recipes on the side of the box were a bit generous in the bread ingrediedient causing the contents to overflow when the dough rises so use a little caution. Don't fill more than 1/2 to 2/3 with the unrisen dough. The breads are delicious. Follow directions for greasing the inside of the mold. I have had no problems with breads sticking to the mold and they remove easily. Because the mold is ceramic you have to place it in a cold oven, then turn on the oven to prevent thermal shock and possible cracking. Don't start your cooking timer until the temperature reaches the recommended setting or the bread will be undercooked. The mold is hollow and there is an air hole in the bottom, so if you wash it in a dishwasher you will end up with some water inside the shell that is a bit difficult to drain.

Wilton Aluminum 16 by 4 by 4-1/2-Inch Long Loaf Pan Review

(More customer reviews)I've baked "scratch" angel food cakes in this long loaf pan several times and have yet to be successful getting the cake out of the pan without tearing it in half. The issue is that I can't get the cake unstuck from the bottom of the pan. I've tried parchment paper on only the bottom (not the sides) and the cake just sinks in as the parchment doesn't hold the cake to the pan when inverted. I've asked on the Wilton forum and the main answer was: "now you know why the tube pan comes in two parts. A friend of mine said she was given an "old" tube pan which is much heavier. She threw away this one.
It does bake nice and even and would be great for anything but angel food cake.

(More customer reviews)Pros: These have made several loaves of bread, and I'm happy with the results. The food browned nicely, cooked evenly, and stack for storage.
Cons: The non-stick coating seems to be rather delicate. I wouldn't recommend using any metal utensils on these - not even a butter knife around the pan to loosen the loaf. I'm even storing them using the cardboard dividers they came with. Also, the sharp corners make for lovely bread loaves, but are not easy to clean. I have to use a toothpick to get out all of the food in the tight corners.
